TAKE FLIGHT THIS FALL AT IFLY SEATTLE
The Pacific Northwest’s first indoor skydiving center now open near Southcenter Mall. iFLY Seattle announces the opening of Washington state’s first indoor skydiving facility. Located near Southcenter Mall just south of Seattle, this innovative technology offers the thrill of freefall in a safe, controlled environment.
Comprised of a 14-foot diameter circular glass flight chamber with four powerful fans creating wall-to-wall airflow, the iFLY wind tunnel provides a simulated sky-diving experience with the ability to adapt to age and ability levels. This scalable technology implemented under the guidance of a certified instructor offers an exciting adventure for children ages three and up, while challenging experienced adrenaline junkies.
“Given its unpredictable weather and large population of outdoor and adventure enthusiasts, Seattle is the ideal location for an indoor skydiving center,” says iFLY Seattle Marketing Director and Co-Owner Lysa Adams, who runs the facility with her husband and fellow skydiving enthusiast, CEO Bill Adams. “iFLY provides an exhilarating experience for adventurists and a safe, exciting thrill for kids and teens.”
On average, an actual sky-diving freefall lasts 45 seconds and costs several hundred dollars. The introductory iFLY indoor skydiving fight package lasts almost three times as long and only costs $59.95. A variety of iFLY packages can be purchased depending on group size and desired experience.
- First Time Flyers: People who are new to the sport of body-flight can choose from a range of packages including Earn Your Wings, with two flights for one person ($49.95 - $59.95), and the Take Flight package with five double-length flights and a DVD ($209.95 - $249.95)
- Groups and Parties: Those looking for a fun and exciting experience for their family outing, birthday party or corporate event can choose from one of four group packages such as the Family Package for 10 flights for up to five people plus a DVD ($229.95 - $249.95), or the Super Swooper Party Package which can be shared by up to 12 people and includes 12 DVD’s, 24 flights, snacks and a decorated party room.
- Returning Flyer Packages: Repeat visitors are eligible for discounted flight packages. Purchase the Earn Your Wings – Returning Flyer option and receive two flights in the vertical tunnel for $39.95 - $49.95, or the Spread Your Wings – Returning Flyer package for four flights in the wind tunnel for $69.95 - $79.95.
- Experienced Flyer Packages: Skydivers and iFLY regulars can save by buying discounted blocks of time with 5, 10, 15, 30 and 60 minute blocks available from $99 - $975.
iFLY Seattle owners Bill and Lysa Adams are long-time sky-diving enthusiasts who actually met while partaking in the extreme sport. “Bill and I literally fell in love skydiving, and bringing this state of the art experience to the Pacific Northwest has been the culmination of a lifelong dream,” says Lysa.
iFLY Seattle is one of 22 SkyVenture wine tunnel locations worldwide.
