The Latest SkyVenture Technology - The 14 Feet Re-circulator
SkyVenture’s latest design of their ever-popular Vertical Wind Tunnels, the 14-R4, which stands for; 14-foot diameter, re-circulating, 4 fan design, has now been built and is operating in Montreal, Canada. It’s specific location is; in the Centropolis, in the Greater Laval region of Quebec, Canada.

SkyVenture Montreal’s owner/operator Mario Prevost has described this new facility, as “A one of a kind, it houses 3 briefing rooms which are set up for skydiver and team training equipped with all the necessary features, a fully equipped kitchen and a 14 foot diameter, round, marked out creeping area”, which is very useful for preparing 4 and 8 way dives. Other amenities include; spacious sales and merchandise offices along with 2 classrooms and a large conference/corporate room.

Great Location
The tunnel is conveniently located off Highway 15, in the heart of Laval, in the Centropolis development, which is a large, sophisticated and modern outdoor mall complex. With the addition of the wind tunnel to this amazing location which already boasts shopping, many dining choices and lots more including the movie theater next door which already attracts 25,000 guests each month!

There are 4 local dropzones located all within an hour drive of the tunnel, 2 of them can eaily be reached in less than 30 minutes.

SkyVenture Montreal opened its doors to the public at the end of the companies first FITP course, which began in San Francisco Bay, at the iFly SFBay facility, Course leader Brian Wilson the now resident T4 in Montreal, trained 7 candidates with the assistance of Kris Reynolds and Rusty Lewis. All 7 trainees completed the course after the second phase in Montreal, and the new facility and staff are open for business!
