Wittenburg Kids Share Their Story!

Kaleigh Wittenburg

I'm Kaleigh Ann Wittenburg and I'm 10 years old. I started tunnel when I was 7. My favorite things to do in tunnel flying with my family, wall carving and learning dynamic two way. My goal is to learn as much as possible. In the tunnel I'm learning how to fly fast, straight  and smooth head up and head down. My advise to kids any age is to have fun and try hard. My dad and Simon are my coaches. What's hardest for me is flip twist. My brother is better than me at it but I'm not giving up and I will learn how. It's fun to fly and I'm happy that I get to fly.

Noah Wittenburg

My name is Noah Rocket Wittenburg. I am 8yrs. old. I have now been flying in the tunnel for 3 yrs. The reasons I really enjoy flying are because you can freefly and and dive down at high speeds. My favorite moves to do in the tunnel are: flips, wall carving, and the leg lock move. At the moment I am working on: flying super straight and smooth. The tornado breaker is the hardest trick I'm working on to improve right now.

I hope to continue flying for a long time to come and help coach others in the future.

The IBA distinguishes between the sport of indoor skydiving (engaged in by patrons with IBA accounts seeking approval of flight skills though the IBA's Flight Progression System) and recreational flying (engaged in by entertainment customers who do not intend to pursue approval of skills). While indoor skydiving is safe for all ages, the inherent risk of the activity is necessarily greater for those engaging in the sport of indoor skydiving, particularly as they progress through more sophisticated maneuvers.
